Last year, Our team had to buy used iPhone 12 mini to hand over institution. But had some trouble after arrived.
They said the device does NOT wake up, just a dark state… What a disaster!
We couldn’t avoid inevitable situation that buy another one and get back broken device. While it costs some money to buy it, donated about half the price of device.
I think it’s too pity to throw away broken device, so fixed yesterday!

After replacing new battery, it just works!
Since it’s not genuine of Apple’s battery there’s warning. but anyway I was so glad it working.
Thoughts
It was so lucky that the device come back to life.
I had to face a lot of difficulties in behind scenes, especially had two parts.
First one is disassembling display is too hard, because it has waterproof watersealing with strong adhension. Buying SS-601G toolkit which can diassembling display was helpful.
Next, I couldn’t remove adhesive tape attached to existing battery, so dropped a few drops of high concentrationisopropyl alcohol under the edge of the battery in the area of the broken adhesive strip. Then it could be disassembled using thin object very easily.
It was so hard journey to revive that device, but glad it just works!
